Clear answers to the most common questions about the Romeo Method, Natural Hygiene, and the digital protocols.
Natural Hygiene is a philosophical and practical tradition of wellbeing that holds the human body to be a self-healing system. Born in the 19th century with thinkers such as Herbert Shelton and Harvey Diamond, it rests on the principle that vitality is recovered by removing the obstacles that obstruct it — not by adding pharmaceuticals or supplements.
No. The Romeo Method is not a diet in the conventional sense. It is an educational approach that teaches you to respect your body's natural cycles, to select the most appropriate foods at different times of the day, and to integrate nutrition, movement, sunlight, and rest into a coherent lifestyle.
Absolutely not. The Romeo Method's digital protocols are informational and educational guides. They do not constitute medical prescriptions or nutritional therapies. Before making significant changes to your diet — especially if you have existing health conditions — it is essential to consult your physician.
Massimiliano Romeo is a Holistic Philosophy Practitioner and Natural Hygiene educator. He is neither a physician nor a certified nutritionist. His work consists in disseminating the principles of Natural Hygiene in an accessible and practical manner, empowering people to develop a deeper understanding of how their own body functions.
The body follows three metabolic cycles across 24 hours. From morning until noon it is in an elimination phase (lighter intake is optimal: fruit, fresh juices). From noon to 20:00 it enters the appropriation phase — the ideal window for main meals. From 20:00 to 4:00 it is in the assimilation phase, during nocturnal rest.
Natural Hygiene regards stimulants such as caffeine as substances that "simulate" energy without genuinely producing it. The Method prohibits nothing in absolute terms, but it invites awareness: how much energy does your body expend processing stimulants compared to the energy it actually receives? Transitioning toward a fresh-fruit breakfast is one of the first steps in the journey.
The Romeo Method imposes no ethical choices. Priority is given to fresh, living plant foods — in particular raw fruit and vegetables — but the journey also includes quality animal proteins within the appropriation window (12:00–20:00). Each person adapts the Method to their own dietary and cultural context.
It depends on your starting point and the consistency with which you apply the principles. Many people report improvements in morning lightness and energy levels within the first two weeks. The structured journey spans four weeks, though the most profound changes unfold over time with sustained practice.

The Masculine Vitality Protocol focuses on energy, strength, and natural vigour. The Happy Gut Protocol is oriented toward intestinal wellbeing, lightness, and the reduction of bloating. The Complete Manual is the comprehensive theoretical-practical text that expounds the entire philosophy of the Method with detailed tables and guides.
Yes. The Complete Bundle includes all three protocols at a reduced price (€73 instead of €83). It is the recommended choice for those who wish to undertake the full journey from the outset.
The protocols are PDF guides designed to be comprehensive and self-sufficient. For specific questions you may contact us by email at romeomassimiliano274@gmail.com. We will respond as promptly as possible.
The nutritional principles promoted by the Romeo Method — consumption of fresh fruit, raw vegetables, reduction of added sugars and ultra-processed foods, respect for circadian rhythms — are consistent with the guidelines of the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) and with the recommendations of the WHO for a healthy diet.
The superfoods integrated in the Romeo Method (Spirulina, Maca, Klamath/AFA) have been evaluated by EFSA for human consumption safety. Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) is classified as a safe Novel Food approved under EU Regulation 2015/2283. Klamath/AFA products are regularly marketed in the European Union as food supplements in compliance with Reg. EC 178/2002.
The 2016 Nobel Prize in Medicine — awarded to Yoshinori Ohsumi for research into autophagy — scientifically validated one of the foundational principles of Hygienism: reducing the digestive load through intermittent fasting windows activates cellular self-cleaning and regeneration mechanisms.
🌍 Global Safety & Transparency Standards — The Romeo Method operates according to the European Union's safety and transparency standards, globally recognised for their rigorous scope. The protocol is structured for universal application, in full compliance with international regulations governing holistic wellness communication and data protection (GDPR — EU Reg. 2016/679).
The Romeo Method's approach is based on whole, natural foods — fresh fruit, raw vegetables, seeds, whole grains — recognised by the world's leading health authorities (WHO, EFSA, ISS) as the foundation of a healthy diet. It does not involve extreme fasting or therapeutic protocols. It is not a substitute for medical treatment in the presence of diagnosed conditions. During pregnancy, breastfeeding, or with specific medical conditions, consult your physician before commencing.
The foundational principles of Natural Hygiene — food combining, circadian rhythms, reduction of digestive load, living food — find resonance in a growing body of scientific research. Studies on the gut microbiome (Nature, 2015), intestinal serotonin (Johns Hopkins Medicine, 2021), autophagy (2016 Nobel Prize, Ohsumi), circadian rhythms (2017 Nobel Prize, Hall–Rosbash–Young), and the gut–brain axis (Nature Reviews Neuroscience, 2019) support the biological mechanisms underpinning the Method. The Romeo Method is educational dissemination — not medical practice.
Spirulina: approved as a Novel Food by EFSA (Reg. EU 2015/2283); safe for healthy adults at recommended doses (1–5 g/day). Contraindicated in phenylketonuria or algae allergy. Maca Root: used for centuries in Andean tradition; classified as a safe food by the Codex Alimentarius. Not recommended in high doses during pregnancy. Klamath (AFA): regularly marketed in the EU as a food supplement; choose products certified free of microcystins (cyanobacterial toxins). As with any supplement, consult a healthcare professional if you have existing conditions or are undergoing pharmacological therapy.
